So it is the Monday after SPRINGFEST and I am exhausterated (5 syllables).  Friday was pretty much insane.  Got up at 5am went to sleep at 4am the next morning.  Tons of fun!  But sadly I want to do this for a living!  I was second in command when it came to the hospitality needs of The Wreckers and FLOREZ.  It was very cool. 

Thursday we went out to eat with the guys of FLOREZ, which was wicked cool.  Lots of laughter and teasing.  FLOREZ are great friends, and it was kind of funny because after the concert on Friday when we were talking in the lobby some friends were talking and Alex walked by and we said hi. (Might I add that all members of FLOREZ and their management are extremely attractive.)  My friends were all like "dude you talked to him!", my response "yeah, why wouldn't I?".  Its almost like  FLOREZ has become part of our SAC family and they are the big brothers in the family.  I love it! 

Saturday was dedicated to sleeping, laying out on the lawn in the sun, and celebrating the end of SPRINGFEST.  Went out to eat with Corey, which was fun.  (We saw someone wearing a FLOREZ shirt at Applebees!) 

I feel like I have bonded a lot with Emily and Sarah (our outgoing seniors) and I really don't want them to graduate.  I love them both sooo much and it is going to be hard loss to many of the members in SAC. 

Well I have totally jumped around in this blog but there is a lot going on in my head.  I am so ready to go home and I can't wait for next year!

So I am part of the student activities council at my school.  We pretty much bring in comedians, musicians, and other entertainment acts to our school for the entertainment of our students.  Well yesterday we had our Springfest and we brought national recording artists The Wreckers.  Which is a country duo of Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp.  It was a lot of work but was totally worth it.  I had such a good time learning the trade of putting on a concert.  The opening band are good friends of mine.  Their name is FLOREZ.  Check them out at myspace.com/florez.  THEY ARE AMAZING!!  (and not to hard on the eyes either)  Check out the pics and comments are welcome!!

Hey Everybody! 

So guess where I am?  If you guessed the SAC office then you guessed right.  It seems like I  am always here and I never leave.  Although today I got so much stuff done that I feel like my time spent in here was not wasted.  I successfully planned all of fall semester, which is super exciting so I can pass on the different events to next year's chairs and get publicity done for them.  I think I talked to Corey, one of the agents we work with, and a great friend, today probably three or four times in a hour's time.  I also talked to Mellisa, Chris, and Troy which was interesting because we got some great blocks formed.  (Which for all my non program board people means that an artist has a certain number of performances during a certain time span.  You get discounts if you form blocks with other schools in your area.) 

This week has probably been a good week in the eye's of all SAC members.  We are bringing SPRINGFEST back to Mount, it hasn't happened in 30 years, and we are having a HUGE concert that Friday (April 20).  We were waiting for the contract to be signed before we could announce who we were having.  Well the contract has been signed and we are haveing The Wreckers! (Michelle Branch's new band)  Even though I am not that thrilled about  the band, I am super excited that we are having a national recording artist come and play at Mount.  Our good friends FLOREZ (check them out they are in my top friends box) are opening for them.  SUPER EXCITED about that!!!!  Well i think that is all for now .  I am going out shopping with some of the SAC girls to get hospitality stuff for FLOREZ and The Wreckers, this should be interesting.  Will talk to you later!

Wow so I just got home from seeing Permanent Me, The Early November, New Found Glory, and Fall Out Boy at the Agora in Cleveland.  It was AMAZING!!  I have never had so much fun!  Everyone did an awesome job!  I am so on cloud nine and I need to go to bed so I can wake up for class in the morning.  Brit and Allison both came with me and we had a great time bonding and meeting some cool kids from Baldwin Wallace.  I will post my pics in the morning.  Over and Out!
